BECAUSE time is of the essence, a new design school is offering a
groundbreaking curriculum which is intensive, dynamic, focused and
relevant.

The first design school in Cebu, University of the Visayas School of
New Media and Design (UVNS), will open its doors on November offering
three-month courses on visual design, digital illustration and
photography.

School
director Genesis Raña observed that most schools offering design
courses only have one or two design subject per semester and coupled
with minor irrelevant subjects. He wants to change this with the entry
of UVNS which offers 480 quality hours spread over three months and
focused entirely on design and creativity subjects. The short course is
comparable to some two-year course.

“We want to train the minds of students for creative process from day
one. We want to stimulate students to greatness,” he explained.

The school is located at Gullas Medical Center in Banilad, Cebu City
and sports a well-designed lobby, inspired classrooms, study areas,
lounge, studio, and library.
